CHAINSAW OPERATIONS 

COURSE OBJECTIVE:

This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to operate chainsaws in a safe and efficient manner. 

DURATION: - 1 Day 

TRAINEE: - 5 to 8 trainees 

TRAINING METHOD:  The course includes classroom sessions but is largely practical training, using a ratio of 1 chainsaw to 2 trainees.

-        OH&S Regulations

-        Pre start checks

-        Chainsaw maintenance

-        Start up procedure

-        Cross cutting

-        Trimming branches

-        Simple tree felling

-        Shut down procedures 

LIMITATIONS OF TRAINING: Great care needs to be taken in using chainsaws, as both chainsaws and some types of work with them are inherently dangerous. This training course enables successful participants to operate a chainsaw, but skill in performing difficult tasks will only come with much on the job experience.

CERTIFIFICATION: A certificate of competence will be issued by CTM Training Solutions as evidence of completion of the course..

This course is subject to change and like other training providers, CTM Training Solutions, must review delivery if there are insufficient enrolments. If cancellation occurs efforts will be made to reschedule the course and clients will be contacted regarding refund of their deposit.
